ASTRAGALOSIDE IV COMPLEX - EXTRACT FROM MONGOLIAN MILKVETCH - ASTRAGALUS MEMBRANACEUS

(Mongolian milkvetch - commonly called the root of young and eternal life), a genus in the Fabaceae family. This herb has a wide range of pharmacological uses, which include immune stimulation, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive, hepatoprotective and vasodilatory effects. - healthy lifestyle

The root is mainly used as a medicine. The use of astragal extracts for medicinal purposes dates back more than 4000 years ago. It contains the following substances: triterpenoid saponins (astragalosides), flavonoids, polysaccharides, phytosterols, pigments, amino acids, betaine, choline, unsaturated fatty acids - linolein and linolenic acid.

Astragalosides plays a crucial role in immunostimulation in all cases of reduced immune system function; supports the formation of T-lymphocytes. T-lymphocytes are a type of leukocyte - white blood cells. There are several types of T-lymphocytes, but in general we can say that they are the natural basis of specific (acquired) cellular immunity.

Other cycloartan saponins are used for their antiviral effects, for example, they prevent the replication of the genetic information of viruses (DNA or RNA virus), thus preventing their multiplication in the body. They support the production of interferons, which were discovered in 1957 as biomolecules with strong antiviral activity.

In traditional Asian medicine Astragalus, and especially its active substance astragalosid, is used to regulate the immune system of patients after chemotherapy or after radiation of malignant tumors. These substances are able to protect the bone marrow to a certain extent against the effects of chemotherapy, radiation, poisons and viruses that reduce immunity.
